About Me
Originally setting out to pursue a career in Psychology, it was an unexpected project—streamlining patient intake and billing processes—that awoke the dormant creative force within me and triggered a major shift in my future.
Upon pursuing a career in Creative Arts I looked to go away from the traditional design trajectory and found the most rounded education within the Animation Major. With mentors such as Jason Plapp (Rugrats Gone Wild, The Simpsons Movie) and Greg Dietrich (South Park, Family Guy) and through a curriculum as varied as Storyboarding to Contract Negotiations, I worked towards never limiting my skill set and prepared to fill any position in a production I could, what was a survival reflex became a mantra in my career.
Wanting to avoid the volatility of the time, I began working within the marketing side of the production. Moving into interactive agency work in Southern California granted me the opportunity to shape narratives and experiences on projects for Dean Koontz, Jim Carrey, Vegas.com, H&R Block and many others. With small teams came big responsibility, though as the teams grew the target remained to address creative challenges while achieving business objectives.
As interactive projects matured I quickly realized design standards weren’t enough—I required a compelling narrative to unify stakeholders around a vision backed by concrete objectives and minimal uncertainty. This lead me to direct my process towards user centric methodologies.
Even with my experiences I am a perpetual learner, from scoping customer needs with Sales, defining expectations through user interviews, to driving teams towards precise delivery while tracking KPIs—I ensure that every step I take is a measured stride towards success.
